Here's Glastonbury!

Coming by air from other countries, most people fly in to one of London's airports - Heathrow is best, Gatwick is a bit further, and Luton and Stansted require a trip into London before coming to Glastonbury. You can also fly to Bristol Airport from LHR and other national airports and take a taxi to Glastonbury (50 minutes/approx £40) or we can arrange to collect you - it's a pleasant and commendable country route to Glastonbury from the airport. You can catch a direct flight to Bristol from Newark NJ, and many people catch a long-haul flight to a Euro-hub such as Amsterdam, Brussels or Dublin, then a short flight to Bristol.

If you are coming by car you head west out of London and meet the M3 motorway which leads to the A303 which passes by Stonehenge. Stay on the A303 until you reach Podimore roundabout where you will see signs to Glastonbury and Street - follow these for another 6 miles/10km. Journey time - approx three hours.

To reach Glastonbury by train you proceed from London Paddington station to Castle Cary station - approx 1 hour 45 mins. If coming directly from Heathrow airport, you can catch a train from Heathrow to Paddington, or an airport bus to Reading - you can join the train there. Then take a twenty minute cab ride from there to Glastonbury (cost of cab approx £20). For train info and reservations go to www.nationalrail.co.uk.

You can also catch trains from London Paddington to Bristol Temple Meads, then bus 376 (hourly during daytime) to Glastonbury. Use this option if your luggage isn't heavy and you would prefer timing flexibility! The Castle Cary option above is quicker and more pleasant, but there are fewer trains, and no bus from the station to Glastonbury.

To reach Glastonbury by bus there is a National Express coach that leaves once a day from Victoria Rail Station which also stops at London Heathrow Airport. Journey time - approx 3.5 hours. For info and reservations go to www.gobycoach.com.

From other parts of Britain: by car, head down the M5 motorway to Junction 23, then follow signs for Glastonbury. By train, head for Bristol Temple Meads, then catch bus 376 to Glastonbury. By coach, you might be able to find a coach from the North direct to Glastonbury - otherwise, head for Bristol, and catch bus 376 from the bus station.
